I got a Dooney & Bourke for $3 at a thrift store.  It is very heavy and dark green with brown trim with the embossed duck emblem.

Would you mind telling me what part of the country you live?  I gave 2 Patricia Nash bags to a nearby thrift store to sell.  I live in SW Ohio (Cincinnati).

We don't have any "nice" thrift stores around where I live.  I've always wanted to open one though.  I could sell of my clothing which is mostly brand new.  Some have never even been worn.
