@Serendipity  Just found out from another thread. I'm very upset. The S/H reduction did not even last a year I think. At least, wait till Christmas is over. That is what I buy most and I was very happy with the new rates. Plus, they are no longer refunding the original S/H yet the price to ship went up so fast.

The Barlow went back. Adored it on arrival. Used it carefully for two days. Loved looking at it. Packed it with sadness.

Turns out the "too short strap" reviews were, in fact, correct. I was able to easily get it over my shoulder, so I dismissed them. But the straps are shorter than my Dooney straps on the hobo logo or O-ring hobo, for example. And stiff! At the end of the day, my shoulder hurt. And it never "fit"against my body, especially with the two "pockets."

I had saved all the packing and gently put it back together. Someone will get a lovely, no marks, "as is."

@1Professor Thanks for sharing this, Professor. Sorry it didn't work out for you, it is a beauty of a bag. I was in fact wondering whether you were still enjoying the bag, but didn't want to bug. Those were my two concerns, mostly the fit with the pockets and the shoulder straps. Looks like if it would hang lower, like your hobos, or the Buckley, it might work better. But don't grieve too long, you have many nice ones in your collection and there are others out there .... just ... waiting. LOL.

@NycVixen @skyblue From best I can tell, looks like purchases through Oct 31 were still shipped at the $3, so must have taken effect on the first? But you would think there would be an email or something posted to explain. I don't know about you girls, but I definitely started ordering more after the shipping on jewelry went down. I think the converse will also be true.

@1Professor I am so sorry you are bummy over the disappointing handbag trial. However, you did give it the old college try, and no handbag should hurt your shoulder, so you were very right to send it back. I do know what a bummer it can be to really look forward to getting a handbag, love it when you see it, but then when you try it on for size, it just does not work. The good news is that there will be more handbags coming up, especially the 12 Days of Dooney when D&B emails each day, starting in early December, with topical goodies, e.g., satchels, hobos or tote bags!

Going to go to have my mammogram on Friday and will check out my Magic store.

If that Coach pouch is still there, I may buy it.

Aw so sorry it didn't work out professor it looks like a lovely bag but for the price it's gotta be love otherwise back it goes. I got my Brenna TSV in hunter (green not a color I like) but I love this bag! It's heavy but it is smaller than I thought so it works. It also looks like it will soften and eventually the straps will fold over to if I choose to carry on my shoulder. Already moved into it
