The opening is the same as my favorite Roma 2's, which are SO secure. I hate having to zip open, then negotiate my hands around zipper stuff. Love the WIDE opening.

The difference between the TSV and the Barlow (besides the straps) is the lack of zippers on the sides, which extends the Barlow.

Both are coming to my home, Barlow and Brenna. One will get returned. Florentine Italian leather and pebble leather, my two favorites!

Hi @1Professor .. thanks for the info.  As much as i like this bag... I will not be purchasing it.   I am saving up for something else.  Please do not tell @stevieb  Woman LOLWoman LOL

@Boehm Collector I SEE this!!! LOL Woman LOL Perhaps one of the Salvatore Ferragamo handbags in NYC?

@Boehm Collector Curiousity is getting the better of me on this one. First thought was it was something for your DH, but that wouldn't have repercussions from the HM. So .... hmn. Another SF or Gucci would be my thinking. No fair with the teasing, BC!

Hi @Serendipity ..... My lips are sealed until.. and IF... I am ever ready to make the purchase.  I never said it was a handbag.  I absolutely LOVE 18K gold .... so perhaps it might be a new jewelry purchaseWoman WinkWoman Wink?????   This will continue to be a mystery until I am ready.  You girls will just have to be patient and wait it out.  Woman LOLWoman LOL

Oh Maria, @Boehm Collector, now this is a hoot... I got a serious chuckle out of the entire concept of so many of our colleagues demonstrating patience at any level. For heaven's sake, that's half the problem... I mean think about it, "I see it, I want it, I buy it and then I buy it again..." should be the personal mantra for at least several of our dear friends...

Hi @Serendipity ... congrats on the good news.  Can you share what it is?  And of course you can celebrate with a new handbag!!!!

Enable much, @Boehm Collector? Careful @Serendipity, she just wants to take the focus off herself...

I don't.  Sorry @Serendipity, can't help with these.

I didn't watch the show. Please don't tell me the Q is still selling these silhouettes form at least four years ago at full price...

@Sister Golden Hair  LOL.. I know, that bag looks amazing. And what I know about the brand the quality is pretty good. There is just something about it. Anthro is not known for selling subpar merchandise.

I'm going to see if I can see it in person this weekend. The truth is, I just love shoulder bags and especially totes. This one is also just the right size; 14 x 14 x 5. I'm sorry for enabling you!!!!! Does that mean I'm going to the outhouse @stevieb?

Not necessarily @NycVixen, but combined with your other purchases, this bag could well put you over the top... Of course, if Sister capitulates on this one, she might as well move into the O.H.

I think I might as well...

Does it come in other colors too?

@Serendipity @Sister Golden Hair @stevieb  Great question! I knew I forgot something! The Anthro sales rep said it also comes in purple. I didn't ask her what shade exactly, darn. I guess I do have to make a trip to the store but I'm in love with the brown at this point and don't think I'll pick any other color.

Sorry @Serendipity for the misinformantion... I didn't notice another color on the site. Personally, I can't imagine this particular bag other than in a neutral.

Hi @Serendipity .. are you referring to the Florentine Tilton that was on last night?  I did not like that bag at all.  Way too large; did not like the shape;  and I hated that strap.  I think it really cheapened the bag.

I didn't watch the show, but from the picture, I thought it was rather heinous too @Boehm Collector. Just perfect, though, if your job is delivering mail...

Nice .... great color for Fall too.  I actually do like the zippers.

Thanks @Boehm Collector for weighing in. I've decided not to pursue this one right now.

Hi @handygal2 ...  I once took an inventory of all the bags I own and did list them in a post in last quarters thread.  But I cannot remember the exact count now... although I have added two more bags since.  I would say a good estimate would be about 35 - 40 bags

Thanks for your reply, @Boehm Collector. That's my goal exactly-- to pare down my collection to just that amount, which seems like a very reasonable number. I found bags that l didn't even remember l had, and l could easily do without. The closet-purge project will begin eventually. (I'm a procrastinator, lol.)

@stevieb No, no. I saw one "as is" and it looked perfect for my mom -- her favorite chestnut color and it was $140-something. But @EdithEllenLily thought the Smith might be too heavy. This was the double handle satchel, which looks like the Smith somewhat.

@Boehm Collector I do like the canvas strap, but the shape was a bit off. Perhaps it would foldover more with use and it was just too tall during the presentation? But no, no longer on my wish list. The Barlow is another story... Smiley LOL

@1Professor Professor, what did you think?
