Thanks Maria @Boehm Collector...  This one is sort of interesting... though I'm actually thinking along the lines of something sort of slouchy and a bit boho. Funky without being too funky, if that makes any sense.

Hi Handbag Buddies .... just in case anyone is interested.. I found a code for 25% off on the Kate Spade website.  it is THRILL.  it expires on January 6, 2016.

I in the office waiting for clients to arrive for a closing.  They should be here any minute.  But I want to take the opportunity to wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas.  If I have time I may check in again later on...or perhaps even tomorrow.  But I didn't want to miss the chance to extend my good wishes for a Happy Holiday in the event I do not have time to check back in.  Regards, Maria

What bag are you going to be carrying this week?

I got out my forest green "Lucky" hobo.

Hi @Sister Golden Hair ... right now I am carrying the one below:

s-l140.jpg

But I have not decided what bag I will use for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  I guess it will depend on what I decide to wear.

I love the version of that bag they're selling now (below), but the price, oy... almost four hundred dollars when you factor in shipping and tax, so even with six Easy Pays, they can keep it.

Dooney & Bourke Smooth Leather Satchel

My only nod to 'festive' has been in the color of the bag I've been using all week, it's a sueded but not suede distressed metallic gold small tote... I just didn't have it in me to break out the reds, greens or winter (ha) whites... Just not feeling it, so this seemed like a good choice. Besides, it's the perfect size, has pretty hardware and is structured, but not too structured.

Hi @stevieb .. I also saw the "new" version of the bag.  Definitely not worth almost $400.00.

@foo foo shi shi OMG. You have to see the leather Metro! I know how much you like the laquer Metro, but oh my this is so luxurious. I splurged and glad I did before it sells out. I don't want to enable or push, but you have to at least see it in person. Be careful, if you pick it up, you won't be able to put it down! You were right this is likely a cold weather bag, but my goodness.

Yes, the Bailey strap is actually longer than the Paige, but the Roxy crossbody is actually much shorter than the Paige.

Anyway, with this I close out my handbag shopping. Smiley Very Happy But what a way to go! (Sorry @stevieb, but I Heart it!)

Serendipity...you go girl.. So glad you you love the leather Metro. I had a feeling it's great in person. I'll be heading to the store tomorrow see it IRL. Trying to talk myself out of it because I ordered 3 bags this season already. If I do get it that will really need to be it for me for at least a year. Then I would be so sad : ( What would I do with myself with all of the free time not looking & buying handbags.

@foo foo shi shi Thanks, Foo! Yep, that's the same for me. All done now. I will stay away until next year's Advent sale. LOL. But this makes a good clean break. You will have to let me know what you think. I know some don't care for this line, but this one is incredible, really. I like the leather Bailey, and will use it a lot, but this.... even like the tan on the handles, which I thought that I wouldn't. But it's what makes it distinctive. And it folds flat too for travel. I like all the bags you ordered. The Dawn Lizzy will go nice with the Dawn Metro. Nice sets! Hope your mom is thrilled with the sutton.

Glad you love it @Serendipity, whatever your reasons...

You would've loved Italy too... But alas, well, enjoy your visit to Van Nuys... And hey, if you're really lucky, maybe you can visit Canoga Park too...

@stevieb Well, I still have 25 bags, so I haven't gone over that limit! If Italy is out, then I will enjoy watching everyone else buy next year during my trip around the world. Smiley Tongue Wish you could see this one, might change your mind. Smiley Wink Hope you have a nice Christmas and ward off the blues. Heart

@Serendipity For the record, it's not so much that this 'someone' doesn't care for the line, though I don't particularly, it's more that I simply don't see anything special or unusually stylish about it, especially to warrant the prices. To me, and that's all it is, the creators of this brand have very, very successfully done a number... But as I always say, each to their own. And again, Merry Christmas.
