I like and have a few Fossil bags, but their prices seem to have climbed pretty high... I guess there's no reason they shouldn't, they're quality bags, but I just don't tend to think in terms of paying almnost the same thing for them that I would for a Dooney... They do have some great looking styles out lately, though. I'll have to dig out some of my older ones when I begin my inventory, search and destroy mission after the holidays... There's one coming to mind that I'm pretty sure I actually bought (now THAT is bad) but have no recollection of using it or of even knowing where it is (and THAT is really bad too)...

@stevieb...It sounds like you've already started your S&D mission by redding out your Dooneys! I am so glad for you. It makes you feel SO much better to get a handle on those handbags and keep the really good ones! I get out my yellow legal pad and make each page (or two, or three), a brand. It's an eye-opening effort and one I try to do at least once per year, sometimes twice. I hope you find that Fossil bag when you're searching and it's a really nice one that you can use!

Indeed, @stevieb. Take it from me-- purging all of those bags last week felt really liberating!! And there was the bonus of finding buried treasure. This week l will donate those that weren't in good enough condition for the consignment store.

Apparently the buzzer links to a number on your table so the clerk knows where you are sitting and can bring the food to you. We thought the latter part was nice because it always seemed a little expensive for you to do all the work with the tray and all.

As for the onion soup @EdithEllenLily, it's been MIA since the early fall, when they brought in some seasonal soup. Don't even remember what it is, squash, I think... Not my cup of tea, anyway. Their chicken noodle is tasty, but not very substantial. The tomato is allright, but nothing special... No, when I went to Panera it had to be onion and either a Greek salad or a half of one of a few sandwiches I liked... I was told it'll be returning with their 'spring' menu in April... I still think it's stupid. Onions soup is a great cold weather dish... Assuming, of course, that we here in the Nation's Crapitol every actually experience winter.

I agree about the chicken noodle not being very substantial @stevieb. Since I knew I had to "hit" this bug hard today with soup, liquids and rest, I opted for a "you pick two" of TWO bowls of chicken noodle soup! I only ate one baguette, though. Mr. Lily helped me with the second one when he saw me eyeballing it greedily...

I hope you get some chilly weather and some snow before Christmas stevieb!!!

I do too @EdithEllenLily but I'm not expecting the latter... It's been relativelly nice with days in the 50's and sometimes the 40's and chilly nights, but we're anticipating yet another warm-up into the 60's and actually near 70 and I'm sick of it... One of the good things about living here USED TO BE the FOUR seasons...

@handygal2... Done! I'm so sick of endless summer I don't know what to do... I remember the week before Christmas a couple of years ago I was running around in shorts, sweltering. It's just not right! DC is not that far south, for heaven's sake. I've given up on any notion of true winter weather for the holidays, but I'd like it to at least be fall like...
