The 12 Days of Dooney have begun.  There was only one bag I was even remotely interested in (although still not buying) was the Seville Sophie.  Perhaps the selection will improve as the days go by.

Hi @gramygram ... have you been looking at the "deals" on the 12 Days of Dooney?  The selections seem to be deteriorating with each passing day. The bag pictured above is the only one I would have been even remotely interested in .. and that one was from the first day.

I had a very productive dropoff day at the consignment store. I found many hidden treasures in the dark recesses of my closet that l can now convert to cash! Some of these were gifts that l never used:

Longchamp black leather crossbody with zipper top.

Judith Ripka small black quilted clutch with removable chain. (Remember when she sold handbags a few years ago at the Q?)

Coach vintage small brown crossbody with zipper top.

Maxx NY small black suede shoulder bag with buckle-trim flap and white topstitching.

Sharif silver metallic tooled leather shoulder bag with black patent trim, from HSN.

Brighton small patent leather dressy bag, with petals shaped like a flower.

Coach cherry red patent leather "kiss lock" satchel with embroidered allover logo.

And, the "piece de resistance": A Gucci coated cotton logo messenger style crossbody, never used, with the receipt for $245 still inside. It was purchased in June, 1989 in Atlantic City. I remember l was there with DH for an overnight stay. He won some money in the casino and told me to go and buy myself something. LOL, that was an extravagance for me back then! It has been stored all these years with the stuffing still inside, and in a dust bag, and is in pristine condition. Even though it's small, and I'm not a crossbody girl (it was a long shoulder bag back then), I am not parting with this one!!

ETA: l wanted all of you dear handbag friends to see a photo of my buried treasure:

Handy @handygal2 That is SO cool !! Now see, closet shopping has it's benefits. I like the Gucci a lot, especially the tan color background...

Sounds like you cleaned out quite a bit of excess baggage, no pun intended. This will be a project for me after the holidays, though as I come across bags in the process of cleaning up that I know I don't want, I'm putting them aside.

On another note, if you or @Boehm Collector want to further investigate Liebeskind bags, check out Overstock and 6 PM. I seem to remember one or both carried some and the prices are better than many other places. I own two and got one of them at one of these, though I can't recall which. The other came from Amazon on markdown and with a coupon.

@stevieb @Boehm Collector @handygal2 I don't have either of these brands, but I see Kooba on Hautelook today at 50% off and Liebeskind had some sale bags on Anthro.

Hi @Serendipity .. thanks for the tip on the Liebeskind bags.  Overstock didn't have any.. but I found these on the 6PM site:

Wow @NycVixen -- that is amazing! Woman Surprised

@EdithEllenLily and @NycVixen .. for some reason it seems to be taking forever for the Christmas gifts I have ordered on-line to arrive.  I still have to order a few things .... but haven't decided on exactly what to buy.  So I'm beginning to worry that if things continue at this rate, I may not have everything in time for Christmas if I don't place my orders soon.

@Boehm Collector Finding the time to search online is challenging, too! Good luck and yes, I would order soon. You don't want to end up at the mall, shopping on deadline. However, when I was in NJ, I really liked the Mall at Short HIlls...I'm not sure if that is nearby for you! Woman Happy

Hi @EdithEllenLily ..  I really like the Mall at Short Hills but haven't been there is years.  It is approximately 45 minutes from me.  When I went shopping with my niece a couple weeks ago I suggested going there as it is closer to her home.  But she said it was too expensive so opted for the Menlo Park Mall in Edison.

Hi @Boehm Collector -- The Mall at Short Hills IS expensive...but a super fun place to look and to get ideas. Woman Wink (Bad ideas...) When I lived in northern NJ, I had to shop at smaller stores for the basics and it was rather boring. One Sunday when I was reading the New York Times, on the back page of one of the sections was a huge red target with the ad copy reading something like, "If you know what this means, there is one coming near you soon." I was thrilled because I missed shopping at my Target store! It opened in Edison, and I was there on the first day, happily shopping away! Woman Very Happy

Hi @EdithEllenLily .. yes the Mall at Short Hill is a fun place.  I just haven't been there in a long time due to the distance.  And when I suggested it to my niece she din't want to go.

@EdithEllenLily@Boehm Collector: I've been to the Mall at Short Hills a couple of times as well. I like to browse there-- it has almost every store you can imagine, all under one roof. I also like the ambiance of it.

@Sister Golden Hair: Every time l see your nic, l think of the 1975 song of that same name, by America... and the lyrics,"Well l keep on thinkin 'bout you, Sister Golden Hair surprise."

Did you you choose your nic b/c that song has special meaning to you? And l assume you have golden hair!

ETA: My hair is long and straight and black. And, after reading @EdithEllenLily's post just now, l realized that, assuming your hair is golden, if the 3 of us stood together, it would bring to mind the flag of Germany. :-)

Hi @handygal2@EdithEllenLily @Sister Golden Hair .. are we now going to be describing our hair? Mine is shoulder length and naturally curly.  It was a dark brown .... but I color it a light brown now.  I desperately need a touch up and trim at the moment. Definitely have to have it done before Christmas.

I agree @Boehm Collector. I've been taking a look more out of curiosity than anything else. I guess they have a number of days still left to go, but so far the 'pickins' have been more slim than slim. I've seen absolutely nothing of serious interest.
