This morning on QVC Jill had a handbag in blue cobra that looked like the ROMA 2. The bag had an extra strap and the sides were pulled in. She removed the new GILI wallet from the bag.  I own three ROMA 2 bags: Brown Espresso, Natural Ostrich and Cream Snake.  I love the ROMA 2 bag and I hope QVC/GILI has chosen to bring it back for sale in new iterations.

I liked the original and between the Roma 'medium' and the several incarnations of the Roma 2, I have five bags, all of which I enjoy using. I'll be interested to see what they might have done with a new version and, more to the point, interested to see how they try to price it.

Only change I would make to the ROMA 2 handbag is an outside pocket for keys, etc.  Otherwise the ROMA 2 was perfect.  I am also interested in the pricing of the new handbag.

Oh, I agree @culebra. I'd love to see an outside pocket... If a new Roma 2 is on the horizon in some nice color choices and is offered at a price somewhat reminiscent of the 'good ole days' I'd probably be all in...

Well, for sure @Jacie, they'll have to come up with some really stellar new colors or designs to get me interested, but I'm going to be keep an eye out!

Yes, Gili shrunk the tassels on their bags.  I don't like the new

design with lock and key . Remember when Lisa said

it took at least a foot of leather to make a tassel !

I remember when Lisa told us that they asked her if they

could change the tassel because it was so expensive

to make, and she essentially said, No, this is a luxury

handbag, and that's the G.I.L.I. tassel; you can't change it.

Sure enough, it's been changed.

I have the black and the natural ostrich in the Roma 2.... Love both of them... I will look at a new version of it and see what I think... like an earlier poster said, if the Roma's had an outside pocket for phone, it would be my favorite bag.
