I recently asked how everyone stored their handbags.   Many mentioned Periea boxes so I ordered some similar ones from "A".

Do you keep the Periea boxes all zipped up OR do you leave them unzipped a little so the purses can "breathe"?

Leather needs to breathe. They should be stored in a dust bag or even in a pillow case. There are many websites that tell you how to care for leather handbags.

I never completely close any of my plastic boxes (or bags) that I use for storage.  I always leave a small opening on the side to let the items get a little air.

I keep mine zipped up but my Periea boxes have mesh see through fronts which lets air circulate.

I bought this set of two a few years ago (I have several sets) which are no longer being sold but I liked that they were the same size & see through:

I continue to store my handbags in the pouches included with their purchase.  I use light weight pillow cases for those that don't have a cloth storage pouch.  I want the leather to air and I don't enclose my bags in a zipped box.

Those sound great.  I wish they were still making them.  I like the idea of the mesh.

@geezerette I don't know if the brand still makes them but these are no longer available here at the Q.  Maybe another retailer or Amazon?

I store my bags in the dust covers that came with them when I bought them. I stuff them with white tissue paper and a silica packet or two. I stand them on the shelves of my closet. I do not keep them in plastic containers, I was taught that the leather needs to breathe.

I like these. The velcro wraps around the closet rod.
