Lug handbags in heather gray--question

Am looking at the Scoop 2 bag in heather gray. I notice that the material used to make that color is different from the usual material used in other prints and solids. Could someone please let me know what the material is that's used for this color? Thanks.

@qualityshopper. Read labels. In virtually every product whether it be clothing, a household product or something else, the fabric content for heather gray will be different from that of other colors. I've wondered about this for years. Could it be they use recycled material for the gray?

I don't think anyone here can answer your question. You need to find a textiles expert.

@Kachina624 --Unfortunately, I do not have access to the label for this, that's why I came on here to ask. On Lug's site, they just list the material that is, apparently, the usual one they use (100% polyester) for all choices. That does not tell me, however, how this particular color differs from other options. You can tell by looking at it that somehow it does. The others usually have a somewhat shiny look, whereas this one kind of looks like some type of cloth ??? Don't really need a textiles expert--just need someone who has a Lug bag in this color to look at their label.

@qualityshopper My LUG heather gray purchases are at least 2 - 3 years old so I can't speak to current fabric. LUG quality has changed at least for me and the fabrics feel cheaper and more plasticky.

The older heather gray I have seems more like a non plastic fabric, can't really say what the blend is but it previously was decent quality.

@qualityshopper i have the Pacer 2 in gray and label says body and trim 100 percent polyester. Hope this helps.

Hi @qualityshopper The heather grey is polyester, like most or possibly all lug bags, it is just that the material is made using a different process. This used to be my favorite lug fabric, but I don't think they use it that much anymore. Maybe they are phasing it out. I googled and saw that the Scoop 2 bag in heather grey is available in the luglife website. You can buy it there or try ebay or poshmark if you don't mind a gently used bag.

@qualityshopper Bought my husband a heather grey trolley. It has some black in it & feels like a shark skin fabric, if you know what that's like. You may want to go to Lug's website & search heather grey to maybe find a video with the fabric.

Also you may want to check out new big deal F43090 rumble satchel which comes in a brushed gtey.

From any of the lug descriptions, they all are described as being made from polyester. I thought the shiny ones were nylon (?) but maybe not.

'The Heather gray, IMO, looks like a suit material. I purchased one in the past but received it and was not excited...probably just a personal bias at the time. To me, it did look more like a fabric than the sh

@AZfem @qualityshopper The big deal F43090 is in Brushed Grey, not heather grey. Does not look the same to me. The heather grey feels like a woven fabric with different colored threads to create the heathered effect, the brused grey looks like a very tight weave in a single color thread.
