I'll stick to my Baggillini and Travelon purses!
Travelon makes a quality bag. Too bad they are no longer on Q. Sometimes Tj and Marshall's sell them. I also really like Ihkwip Brand. I own 2 now.
Why too bad?? Travelon is sold on Amazon, their website, Macy's, etc. etc. Why focus on QVC???

I would never buy a faux leather item for that price. And the wallet....that price really blew me away.
@Carmie I have bought Dooney bags and Lug bags, and the Lug gets so much more wear. Dooney bags are very heavy and not practical for anyone who walks. I carry Lugs because they are light and do not build my shoulder and chest muscles on the side I carry the bag.
Lugs are also easier on the knees.

Kathy Van Zealand bags were gimicky with all the hanging doodads and studs, etc. I like more classic designs.
Lug bags are few frills untilitarian (ugh... hate the new charm bar, unnecessary), and lightweight, and decent looking. That is why I buy lug, never bought Van Zealand. I did buy B. Makowsky Bags (her husband's line), because of the beautiful leather. Rarely carried them because they were heavy. Donated them years ago.

I have one Lug bag purchased from QVC. I love it and use it everyday. I have not purchased another bag since April 2021 Lug TSV. Looks as good as the day I received it.
Worth every penny.

I currently own probably 30 Dooney bags. I have more bags than I care to admit by other manufacturers as well. I donated boxes of bags quite a while ago....all designer names.
Some of my Dooney bags are extremely lightweight. They are made from a nylon material. They weigh ounces, not pounds. I also own lightweight leather Dooney's. I have been collecting since the 70's.
I admit that some of my designer bags cost between $600 and $1500. I am a former bag addict.
Anyway, I stopped buying bags. I don't need anymore, but I am still tempted.
Lug bags are very well designed. I just wish they were made with better materials. They are too expensive for what they are....for my lifestyle and many are too cutesy.
For the past few years, I have been carrying Dooney's zip arounds. I have 4 of them. They can be used as a belt bag, a crossbody and a shoulder bag. They re 100% leather, inside and out and lightweight. I can walk with them and even wear them under my coat for security.
Everyone likes something different and everyone has a different lifestyle. I prefer to spend my money elsewhere. Lug's are cute, but not for me at that price.

I like Lug bags. They're practical for my lifestyle now.
I'm intrigued by the Matte Luxe material since it looks a bit like the brushed material they used years ago, which I like better than the flimsier nylon. I'm not a fan of the smooth vegan leather.
I tend towards similar styles in the line and keep to the solid neutrals. I don't mind a cute print interior, but not on the outside.
They are getting more expensive, but what isn't now? And like everything else, I'll be sticking to what I know and like and doing less impulse buying.

@geezerette the matte luxe looks like a more "polished" style durable material than traditional lug if that makes sense. TBH I never cared much for the traditional poly nylon like material in much of lug, though I bought many of the bags because they meet my needs and are OK looking. I have bought mostly the heather material (picture below) that I just realized is not offered much anymore. I like the matte luxe material better. It is not at all like leather. It is a textured material that looks more "polished" in terms of style. It is not polished as in the finishing. It is textured. Hope I am making sense!

I'm not really a fan of the shiny nylon. I have a couple old style bags from years ago in the brushed black material. It was sturdier and held its shape better than the soft nylon. I think it was only available for a short time in a few styles and only in black and I believe navy too.
I had a couple of those heathered fabrics. The brushed fabric was more substantial, almost like a lightweight suitcase material. This matte material looks more like a canvas or twill, but I like the look more than the shiny softer nylon. I have seen other styles with it but didn't care for any of them. It doesn't look like leather to me, which is fine. I'm not looking to replicate a leather look.
I'm curious to see what it's like.

@WA Franny I recently treated myself to a Vera Bradley bag from Marshall's. The purse has a zipper closure, lightweight and originally priced at $88.00, on sale for $16.00. YES I scooped it up and it makes me happy and has enough room for some stuff.

@geezerette I don't know if by mentioning that you are curious and intrigued you are just telling us that you will buy, or that you are still looking for more info. Assuming the latter, I went to my closet to look at my bags, and decided the matte luxe texture does look a little like the Dooney pebble leather, though you won't confuse one for the other. The matte luxe is lighter and softer, but I took a side by side picture in case you found that helpful. The worst thing about the matte luxe bags is the ugly logo, which I wear against the body. I don't mind showing the lug zipper, it is gunmetal, which goes with everything as far as I am concerned.
