@NYCLatinaMe

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be obtuse!🤗

I did order the TSV.

And thanks very much for the photo, that was thoughtful of you.  It does give me a good perspective of the material.  I like the look of it.

I don't care for the new Lug logo either and have already decided I will wear that side against my body.  But it will be a good way to remember which pocket my phone is in.☺️

So not worth the price for what you get.

I love my Lug bags. I have deisgner high end bags (Louis) middle of the road bags (Coach)and my Lug. I use my Lugs far more. The Lug bags are conveient, easy to carry and do not scream " Rob Me".  With all the recent grab and runs and the theft, I feel like my Lug bags keep me safe.

I worried about carring my high end bags out to places and posibly getting followed to my car. I switched to Lug and honestly, they are such an easy carry, have all the organization I want and they are just cute.

The reason I think Lug bags cost more is all the components in them that most bags don't have.

I have a Lug trolley e or cb - it has 6 zippers on it. A pull down front with 8 card holders, bill holder, coin holder, rfid.

All Lug bags have cell phone compartments & usually front & back pockets, 2 interior zip pockets, bungee key cord, slip pockets, pen holders.  Many have 1 or 2 water bottle holders with snaps or magnetic closures, interior built in wallets. .

Lugs have INDIVIDUAL UNIQUE LININGS FOR ALMOST EVERY BAG.  Some come with 2 straps - printed & solid or chain & fabric.

All these things cost money.

  • Most high end or low end bags have same lining in all bags (some the dreaded black hole), 2 zips - 1 inner, one outer & 2 slip pockets. Many don't even have outside cell pockets or ANY outside pockets!!!!  I don't care if they're leather or not: they don't have all the components & organization. To me, a bag with no outside pockets is not worth it. I don't care what "name" designed it.  Just my thoughts on the matter.

@Carmie

The Dooney bags are beautiful!  I have bought several, which is how I know they are bad for my body.  I did try some of the Dooney nylon, but the straps were never long enough, or the shapes of the bags did not fit my style or needs.  Think Royln currently filling my better looking/dressier bag needs.  Love the designs and inter-changeable straps.

Lug bags are fun, cleverly designed with have tons of pockets, specialty features and organizational focus. I feel they are made with good quality craftsmanship (not the highest quality, but still good), for under $70, is fine. The price for the TSV was good.
Look at Louis Vuitton bags made of basic brown plastic, and maybe 1 pocket, sells for thousands! You pay for the status, and to me, that's silly. I would rather have function, and pay a fraction of the price.  Essentially price is determined by who will pay it!

I'm curious about Lug bags but haven't bought one yet because I won't spend more than $50 for a bag.  I also feel that this brand will go the way of Kathy Van Zealand who had her 15 minutes of fame and then disappeared.

I'll stick to my Baggillini and Travelon purses!

Travelon makes a quality bag.  Too bad they are no longer on Q.  Sometimes Tj and Marshall's sell them.   I also really like Ihkwip Brand. I own 2 now.

Why too bad??  Travelon is sold on Amazon, their website, Macy's, etc. etc.  Why focus on QVC???

Why not too bad.

I just tuned in and my first thought about the price was they have to be kidding!  $70...plus tax $4.20....plus $5.50 shipping!!  $79.70 total for "Matte Luxe" fabrication!!  What is "Matte Luxe" code for?  Polyurethane, polyester and vegan faux leather! 🙄   And...it's "imported".  We know what that's code for.  To finish it off....there's the extra straps for purchase....$26.00+...... bringing them to $31.00.   Grand total is $109.  To me....it's a Today Special...but not a Value.

That's crazy. They've jumped the shark to me.

I've purchased off Luglive 2020-2022. I have what I need and a few others I didin't need, so I won't be purchasing anymore. I do use all of what I have. Even on Luglive now, which is supposed to be their "discounted" site, (and sometimes code for sell off the duds, along with a few other current bag specials), has gotten way too high. And over saturated with the same frantic sales pitch everyday. Also ship costs are high.

I agree with the other post here that said you can buy a Dooney from the discounted sites or in my area we have a Dooney outlet for same or similar pricing!

I have been carrying, exclusively my nylon crossbodys from Lug & Baggalini the last 3 years...I just want easy, lightweight.

I've whittled down my leather handbags, including Dooney (which I still love...I just don't want "heavy" everyday to run around with.)

If I bought another Dooney at some point it would be a spring/summer crossbody.

Anyway, I digress...another comment about the Lug "vegan" leather...I'd never pay what they are asking for that. I used to work in boutiques that sold the faux leather line "Joy Susan" and I still have some of their bags...I love them. They sold for half of what Lug is charging. But faux leather only lasts so long. I did carry my favorite Joy Susan crossbody, exclusively, for 3 years, and it held up. Only thing was the piping along the strap eventually started coming off...I have a backup. Smiley Happy

I love Lug and I don't see it going away.  It fulfils a need for a lightweight utilitarian handbag that isn't too expensive and has loads of organization.  Its not faddish like KVZ was.  If I want to carry a dressier bag, I can take out a Dooney or nice leather handbag, but Lug I use for everyday or for travel.
