Is Tignanello being discontinued?

Looking at the few  choices of Tignanello,I started thinking that maybe QVC is discontinuing them.I rarely see them on anymore, and the selection is very poor.I really like this company...does anyone know whats going on with them??

The same process is being followed when they discontinued other products and/or brands. It would be nice to see this one stick around.

Re: Is Tignanello being discontinued?

I think that QVC prefers to sell leather bags (Isaac, Dooney, Aimee K, Oryany) or cloth handbags (Vera Bradley, Travelon).  Tignanello began using so much vinyl on their handbags in the straps, handles, bottom, etc., but stilll called them leather.  I was burned with a cracking strap on a crossbody that was cheap vinyl.  I won't buy Tignanello anymore.

Tignanello did themselves in when they became greedy and started using all the vinyl.  People don't want to pay for a leather bag that's going to fall apart in a year or two because important parts like straps are made from cheap materials.  It's a shame because at one time, they made really nice bags.  I guess we can thank Bruce Makowsky for that.

I was just about to say this!  YES!  I bought a Tig bag in 1995 that was all high quality leather and lasted and lasted.  I ended up donating it and have always been sorry I did, it was gorgeous.

The addition of vinyl on the trim and strap was bad enough but when I found one that not only had vinyl on the trim, bottom, strap but ALSO the entire outer zip pocket that served as the wallet to the cross body!!

From then on, I've looked at these bags closely and I'd feel safe to say that half the bag is now vinyl. That's unacceptable for the price and unacceptable that they still call this bag leather in every presentation on QVC and will only answer that the "trim" is vinyl if a customer asks.  Also on line... it states Vinyl trim.  I have absolutely no respect for this product and as much as I love handbags I won't buy one for either myself or for resale and haven't for about 8 years now.

I used to love tig bags but the amount of vinyl they are using is just wrong to call it a leather bag.

They have a brand out now called Tig 11 that is an all vinyl bag and priced appropriately. Very nice bags.

I hate terms like faux leather and vegan leather.  If it is not real leather (the whole thing) the word leather should not be used.

Re: Is Tignanello being discontinued?

A few months ago I purchased a Tig bag on e bay. It was an older bag from back when they were all leather except the trim around the pockets inside. I had forgotten how really nice those purses were. I have carried it as my daily bag ever since I got it and I'll be sad to give it up for a spring bag, even though I have a new spring bag waiting to be used.

Honestly, the way Tig bags have gone lately, I won't be at all sad to see them go.
