Tignanello did themselves in when they became greedy and started using all the vinyl. People don't want to pay for a leather bag that's going to fall apart in a year or two because important parts like straps are made from cheap materials. It's a shame because at one time, they made really nice bags. I guess we can thank Bruce Makowsky for that.
I was just about to say this! YES! I bought a Tig bag in 1995 that was all high quality leather and lasted and lasted. I ended up donating it and have always been sorry I did, it was gorgeous.
The addition of vinyl on the trim and strap was bad enough but when I found one that not only had vinyl on the trim, bottom, strap but ALSO the entire outer zip pocket that served as the wallet to the cross body!!
From then on, I've looked at these bags closely and I'd feel safe to say that half the bag is now vinyl. That's unacceptable for the price and unacceptable that they still call this bag leather in every presentation on QVC and will only answer that the "trim" is vinyl if a customer asks. Also on line... it states Vinyl trim. I have absolutely no respect for this product and as much as I love handbags I won't buy one for either myself or for resale and haven't for about 8 years now.
