Heather is pretty. How pale it is depends on how one defines pale, but, to me, it's a lighter, less saturated color. Personally, I like the color a lot, though I'm not in the market for any more Dooney bags. As for what might or might not be handbag 'destiny'... only you can say. My only word of advice is that if you're thinking you might still be kicking yourself three years down the road that you didn't get it, then you probably should. If, on the other hand, you think the urge will eventually pass and something you like just as much or better will come along, well then...

Depends on the cost and whether or not I think I'd really carry it. I've seen some bags I've really loved, but either the cost or the actual design of the bag made it prohibitive for me.

I may think a bag is beautiful, but if it's not functional for me, I won't buy it. There's no point in having a bag that won't get used.

I've learned the hard way not to buy a bag just because I think it's pretty, or I can't get it out of my head. It has to be functional.

If you love it and know that you will enjoy carrying it, then I say yes, go for it.

I got a heather Dooney bag a couple of months ago, and it's gorgeous.  It is a very rich grey blue, and I find it can go with just about any color. Looks great with jeans, reds, oranges, greys, black, in fact I don't know of any color it doesn't go with.  Get it, you'll love the color.

@Suhse Yes, I cave regularly. 

I'm not a fan of the Dooney color Heather. Too pale for me.
