Prof @1Professor I saw on one of the threads (maybe this one, maybe not) that you're now looking for the Sutton in blue... It looks to me, like the color options have all but disappeared for this bag. I was looking on the Dooney site and while they still show a very few Sutton line bags in the blue and red options, the Hampshire only appears in brown, which leads me to believe they're no longer going to be offering the other colors... I was really hoping to see this one in taupe...  A few years back, they did a 1975 series tote in three sizes and in a number of colors that were quite reminiscent of the look of the Sutton line, so I was sort of hoping they'd expand the range, but I guess not. Anyway, when it went on clearance, I snagged the medium tote in cobalt, but it was pretty in all the colors, and while I coveted the red and taupe, I got neither... The purple was pretty too...

@stevieb @1Professor This is a pretty bag, looks practical too. I watched the video and I really thought it was saffiano. It reminds me of the Gili exotic hobo in shape, but clearly they put on much better adjustable straps here.

It's a very practical and yet somewhat stylish bag @Serendipity

@stevieb Thanks StevieB  I'm excited to get this one.  I don't mind carrying heavy bags but that brenna tsv bag which I love and adore was really taking a toll on my shoulder and neck.  I love that bag.  It's time for a lighter handbag now.  I only have one at home that's cotton coated and that bag is so old.  I bet you remember it too.  It's the black shoulder bag with the tiny flowers on it that QVC sold several years ago.  It came in white and black.  I have the black one.  I haven't carried that bag in years.

I'm happy you love this Sutton bag.  I can't wait to get this one  It will hold everything but the kitchen sink, lol  This week we'll have nice sunny days and in the 50's.  It was beautiful today.  Felt really nice to be outside for a change.  Enjoy the weekend.  Make it a safe one.

It was a lovely day today @BlingQueen022. I wasn't out much, but made it a point to sit out on the terrace for a little this afternoon... Stupid me, I ran errands most of yesterday when it was so windy... Should've waited for today. No real winter in sight, it seems, but this is sure nicer than it was earlier in the week.

@stevieb: You've confirmed my fears, alas. The marine blue, which looks cobalt, is SO gorgeous. I love the luxe coated cotton and its texture. They've moved on.

I'm adoring my Sutton Hampshire, however.

Sorry @1Professor to be the bearer of bad tidings... but who knows, stranger things have happened and maybe they'll bring it back... Did you check ILD to see if by chance they're clearing any out over there?

@stevieb:

Thanks for the reminder about outlets such as ILD, Stevie! No, they didn't have it, though. I found an old YouTube on the presentation of the Sutton Hampshire bag—it was Lisa R at the beginning of December 2014 (last year). Reminded me that the bag has been around long enough to make it to the outlets.

SO, inspired by your suggestion and still loving that BLUE I drove to the San Francisco premium outlets (only 20 minutes away), you know, just in case.

The Dooney outlet had 3 Sutton Hampshires (1 blue/marine, 2 red) in the extra clearance section! Heart pounded. Grabbed the blue. From a price of $328, it was now $131. *sigh*

Yes, as you predicted, it does mean that I got my handbag for December. What will I do with the Replacement $$ Dooney should give me as credit for the Alessandra I sent this week? A wallet. I haven't had a new wallet in more than 5 years.

!!!!!! Well I'll be... darned... How about that @1Professor. Glad that worked out for you. How exciting!  At that price, you might've gotten a red one too and really nabbed a holiday themed bag.

What a bargain! I'm so excited for you, Prof... And if you haven't had a new wallet in five years, then yes, maybe it's time. Congrats on your find... Wow!
