Some Louis Vuitton's are made in the USA

Louis Vuitton Shoulder Bag

Years ago, before my son was born, I bought a LV bucket bag at their store at the mall. The clerk told me that soon they were going to be made in the US and not in Paris. Mine is from Paris, or so it says. It was a once in a lifetime splurge. Now I will have to Google to see where they are made these days! I love to buy American and try to as much as possible. Sad that VB bags are not made in US anymore too...

Re: Handbags made in the USA: Let's make a list

Great information . Thanks for sharing ! The only one I know of is/was made in NYC , and sold by one of the other shopping channels a few years ago . Im no help because I even forgot the manufacturer's name . I ordered one f their hobo bags in an ivory snake , but had to return because it was just too big . Anyway , the company owner was on tv and stressed their dedication to making the bags in the USA . Frankly , I didn't realize there were any US handbag companies left .

These sound interesting!

I'm obsessed with these and have quite a few! Here are two of my favorites (the Barbie one DD and I share Wink):

The Barbie Tote:

The Magnolia Carriage tote:

I don't get them as much as I used to. They don't make as many in the large tote format, which is my favorite. I have a lot of seasonal medium totes from some years ago. The Sand Dollar is one of those. It has an adorable lining!

Everyone should procure what works best for them... and each to their own... That said, I'm sorry, but if these are the best examples of made in the USA bags, maybe it's no wonder that folks are buying 'imported'... Hoping everyone enjoys their personal choice in handbags, where ever they're made.

Yes, they even make exceptional handbags in the good 'ole USA. Wink

Now those are some "exceptional" handbags.

I have been looking for a tote with a sunflower design for some time now. Any ideas??? American made would be a plus for me.

Angela & Roi... bags for a cause. Not a big selection, but beautiful styles in vegan leather and quite affordable. Money from every purchase goes towards a cause. Been contemplating this Sunday Tote for awhile. (Tried to resize...wasn't working)handbag.

Seeing this thread for the first time. Great topic!

Frye's has a specific Made in USA line. Mostly boots for men and women, but also some handbags. Currently there is a flag tote that looks beautiful. Inventory comes and goes.

Any more out there? Would love to know.

If I lived near Connecticut I would definately purchase one of Regina Laudis's cowhide bags that are dyed and handmade at the convent.  I really wish they did online orders!! I'd preorder one and take it "sight unseen".  A friend of mine spent a few days at their abbey and has the most beautiful rich green leather bag.
