Re: Handbags, Mystery Trips and so on... 3Q-2015

Hello, ladies, it's been awhile but I think I may be having success as this new version of myself. It's let me log in twice now, so I'll call that success.

I'm only halfway through this thread - so not caught up with all the new purchases and adventures, but wanted to say hello to all of my handbag friends, and that I hope you all are well and have had a good summer.  Smiley Happy

Hi @EdithEllenLily! Of course! You too! It's a working weekend, but taking a break to watch. Love the tips she gives on wearing. The 22 inch link is gone! Do you have your eye on anything else? Smiley Happy

Oh no, a working weekend?!?! You are so mysterious, @Serendipity!

I did not buy anything else tonight, so that is good! It was just so enjoyable to watch and to listen to her. Her jewelry is a complete and total work of art! Heart

Wow, 26 of 52 reviews with only 1 star for that TSV GILI jacket! I'm still waiting for mine... everybody says it is bad quality leather.... can't wait to see for myself...Will keep you posted.

That's too bad, TK @tough_kitty! I hope yours turns out just fine! I thought it looked nice on TV.

Here's my GILI update: I liked the two croco wallets and now I'm hoping the matching croco thin totes go on clearance. My GILI Chelsea was new and wrapped up with the tape and all; however, the seaming was not finished well, there were marks on the bottom corner of the leather and the leather on the back was super wrinkled. It went back today...

@EdithEllenLily Interesting. Thanks for the report. Too bad. Are you going to try again with another?

No, I'm not planning on it, @Serendipity. There are so many handbags out there...and so many handbags here in our house!!!

Well, once again the livestream isn't working well....so not sure I'm going to make it through the on off and on off again.

I wish they'd fix functionality. I don't have trouble with other sites livestream. Plus they have incorrect pricing on the side items showing, not the OTO, sale, EZ pays, etc.

You must not be home, @Serendipity. Do you travel for your work? Far from home? Be safe, EEL

My sister-in-law decided to spend the night at Joplin because we couldn't find her any shoes and didn't today. She needs one size on her left foot and a different size on the right. She may have to buy two pairs of shoes.

Now if we could find another woman with those two different sizes.

I went to Macy's but their sale was terrible on their handbags. Dillard's had the best ever.

So the only thing that I bought was a pair of sterling silver with turquoise stone in the middle. They are round. Joplin is close to Oklahoma, and at one casino they have hand-made jewerly. Prices are great, these earrings were $28.00.

Anyway, I sure don't need anymore handbags.

I sure like the look of the new Brahmins.

kitty, can't wait to see how your date goesWoman Wink

Your turquoise earrings sound so pretty, SGH @Sister Golden Hair! And a good price, too! Woman Happy I hope your sister-in-law can find a nice pair of shoes that are not too expensive so she can buy the two sizes and then mix them to get the sizes she needs! Enjoy your evening, EEL Heart

Hi Krissie!!! Welcome back! This forum is so freaky, but we are getting used to it. We are very glad to see you and wondered where you were, although I do remember seeing your initial frustrated posts! We all were having "a time of it" at the beginning. I hope you had a good summer, too, and that you were able to get a lot of organizing done! Once you get caught up on the posts, let us know of any recent handbag finds! So glad you are back, EEL Woman Very Happy

Hi Edith, I was so happy when I saw you posting. I hope your back is doing better.

I don't think that we are going to be able to find her any shoes without ordering them.

She wears a 13WW and a 12WW. No one out there in retail carry those sizes for women.

If I was young I would start my own business with large feet women shoes and sandals.

Last year I did order her some Clark sandals from the Q and they do pretty good.

She is needing something closed in for winter. She has lived in California where she didn't need regular shoes. But since she has moved to Missouri, she must have shoes.

I would like to buy a couple more pieces of the Indian jewerly.

This jewerly is very well done. You have to buy the piece when you see it because the man doesn't make the same one twice.

Did I tell you I have a lot of Southwestern jewelry, SGH @Sister Golden Hair? I like it! I have some Carolyn Pollack and American West.

Regarding closed-toe shoes for your sister-in-law...have you looked at Wal-mart for some basics for her to wear while you are searching online? One time my Mom had a medical issue and we went there and found a pair of Men's black tennis shoes in a large size with a wide width that were only $12! They were not bad looking, either. Check out the Men's tennis shoes section there. You could buy two sizes and still only pay about $24! This was a few years ago, so the price may have gone up, but look for the black ones because they were pretty nice! Good luck.
