Eye opening visit from neighbor

I invited her over to check out my purses that im going to donate. Told her she was welcome to take any of them. Her reaction to the lugs was amusing. Eyes got big. She said oh my. Those are some bright colors and prints. Lol. Definitely wasn't interested in them, or the baggalini or any that have multiple compartment organization.  I realized that I never see anyone carrying lug bags. Drank that kool-aid for a long time. Guess I'm moving on. Really enjoying my pompom london and looking forward to the new lighter weight, softer leather bags I just ordered.

@smoochy It IS eyeopening.

I too have noticed when I travel with my Lug bags, (which have come in handy...a sleek backpack, and a functional, carryon with many compartments that serve me well)...but, I never see anyone else with them. I know there are many "Lugnuts" but they don't seem to be in any airport I've been in. I literally can't recall ever seeing one...which is odd for as many as they sell and as big as their line has become.

I do see people with Baggalinis all the time. I have a few of those too, small, neutral crossbodies.

Even my Lug crossbodies are neutral solids. I purchased only two printed ones, and am donating one this year.

I have all I need. I also use my leather bags, but often run around with lightweight Lug or Baggalini crossbodies.

But I too drank a little Koolaid and have "cooled down"...I have what I need to travel, and run around with.

I never see people with Lug or Baggalini handbags. I too am loving my Pom Pom London bags. They are the perfect size, lightweight and quality made for a decent price.

When I worked at Vera Bradley Outlet, I would always see customers with the Lug Ranger style crossbody.  Never saw Baggalini handbags though, which I am surprised as we were in a tourist-y area.

I will say that one of my fave lugs that I'll keep is the Skeeter Bridge. Man you can get a lot into that little bag. I have it in Heather gray which is subtle and goes with everything

So funny you say this...that is the most recent bag I bought on LugLive, had always liked the looks of Skeeters...they had a really good deal and free shipping...got the Diamond White for summer. Haven't used it yet. It holds everything I need it to when I only want the essentials, and it's a nice soft, summer white, not too optic...the "diamond" quality softens it.

Before I retired, HEAVY leather bags wrecked my left shoulder.

I now only wear Baggallinis...and my shoulder is back where it should be.

It's why I gave up Dooneys in favor of Brighton. The Dooneys weigh a ton before anything is in them.

Re: Eye opening visit from neighbor

I never thought about anyone else using a Lug when I'm out.  I have many, many Lug bags mostly and some Ihkwip.  I do have 2 of the Pom Pom and love them.  I have sold most of my Dooney's because they are too heavy now.

Strangely enough, I have only seen one kind of bag I own out in public and that is a Dooney.  But, I have received compliments on the Anushka bags.

Anushka bags are works of art and the leather is buttery soft. Beautiful.
