With Dooney bags, there is often a fabric storage bag (that is darker in color) included.  Is that ok to use to store lighter bags?   Or, is their risk of color transfer?

@Julie_23 I don't know for sure, but to be safe I purchase white king-sized, cotton pillowcases and/or white cotton pillowcases with zippers (Bed Bath and Beyond?) for some of my handbags -- Dooney white ostrich and off-white Amazon croco leather especially.

That said, for Mother's Day I gave my sister a Dooney bone pebble leather logo lock that was stored in a Dooney blue bag hanging in a dark closet for a few months and it looked perfect. 

You could also call Dooney's customer service to get their advice.

I don't bother with dust bags most of the time, but I've heard the dark DB storage bags can bleed onto lighter colors. I've never personally had it happen, but I've read where others say it has. You have to wonder why they don't simply go to a lighter bag. And while they're at it, they could also pick a softer fabric.

I never wanted to take a chance, so I also (as another poster), use a zippered 100% cotton pillowcase to store light colored bags.
