I am surprised that D&B haven't pounced on the RFID wagon. Anyone know when they will?

haven't heard, but after researching it & links on here posters provided it isn't needed. Or tin foil works better.

I actually got concerned when QVC first started talking about electronic pickpocketing.  I went to our bank and spoke with the branch manager and she told me is really isn't necessary because the new chip cards are more secure than the magnetic strips.  She said they can't obtain names, passwords, security codes or addresses from the new cards they issued to us.

I know RFID gets pushed as a sales gimmick, and I also know I could Google this, but how serious is the problem? It's not something I have ever heard anyone say happned to them although I do know it could happen.

Anyone lost their ID to such a thief?

All the googling reveals there is a very very slim chance that it happens.

it seems each and every QVC host had this happen, one just last week.  She talked about it when selling RFID that she is positive that is how they got her info. It must be horrible around the small QVC town.

Yes, a real hotbed of credit card fraud, aimed at qvc hosts.  HaHa

Indeed. It significantly exceeds the law of averages.

Re: Dooney & Bourke RFID

[ Edited ]

This happened to me with my visa from Bank of America $3000 plus a trip to Puerto Rico . I was in Massachusetts at the time and they also use it at Walgreens for $63. while in Puerto Rico . BofA did the usual investigation and refunded all my money from the 3 different incidents and it was only one person . I have since bought the stronghold wallet and that works very well I try to use it at Target and several other places and I cannot scan it I have to take it out of my wallet in order to scan it and then put it back in so it does work. Dooney and Bourke should have this security feature in their bags and accessories.
