Dooney & Bourke Big Deal - Not Such a Great Deal

[ Edited ]

Just a fyi:

I was interested in purchasing the Big Deal - Dooney & Bourke Pebble leather crossbody from QVC as I thought the price was great - $149.98.  HOWEVER, I went to D&B website and they also have this same crossbody on sale for $129.00 with free S&H.

Just wanted to give you a heads up in case you're thinking also of buying this.

@BunSnoop

Also, check out IHeartDooney.com, that's Dooney's close-outs site. Great prices, guaranteed authentic, owned by Dooney.

There was a D&B I really liked here.  I checked the D&B website and was much cheaper especially with the extra 30% for Black Friday and free shipping.

It certainly pays to shop around and not simply assume QVC is the cheapest!  Smiley Happy

I only buy my Dooneys from the Ilovedooney or Dooney websites.  My Christmas present from  hubby is a olive green suede Crossbody.  It was a terrific buy on the Dooney website.

Re: Dooney & Bourke Big Deal - Not Such a Great Deal

@BunSnoop   Definitely always pays to shop.   I've found great deals sometimes at QVC, sometimes elsewhere.

When it comes to handbags, I've thought for years that the best part of QVC's offerings is that colors are often available that aren't available at a similar price at the same time I want/need to buy.

I'd rather have the color I really want instead of one I'm settling for to save money.  If i can't afford what I really want, I settle for what's already in my closet. My thrift bags always seem to be filled with too many items I bought more because they were on sale than that they were exactly what I wanted.

The older I get the more selective I've become; I just know my current self well enough to realize less for me is really more.

@BunSnoop ... QVC is certainly not the best place to purchase Dooney Handbags.   The  Dooney and  ILoveDooney Websites often have better prices and free shipping and handling.

Completely different prices on all 3 websites. Qvc.com, Dooney.com and ILoveDooney.com

@BunSnoop  I have this bag & I HATE mine!   The strap is narrow and being leather it cuts into my shoulder, enjoy.   This bag is currently in my Goodwill pile I plan to donate after the holidays.
