@stevieb I love those "Now...it can be told..." messages. Well, I knew you didn't fancy that color because you didn't mention it...and you know me, I love color -- and lots of colors! I didn't mind that vivid blue. Still, I agree with you, I do like @1Professor 's blue better. My issue with that handbag was more of a "I've been bad" feeling for buying a bag on a whim because it was on sale. I'm trying to not revert to the "old days" when I would buy too many handbags. And it all started with the Dooney Croco Fino small satchel that was on big sale at the Dooney outlet store. I found as many as I could and I do believe that was the start of my handbag "collecting" situation. Seeing the croco in the Brahmin reminded me of the Croco Fino and that made me feel even worse. So I'm not sure if I'll ever find a Brahmin because of that reminder, but that's okay. I have my lovely Dooney ostrich bags in tan, black and white, so hopefully they, instead, will 'count' toward my Bag Dame status.

Mandated power outages all over California to cut down on fire danger. We are OK but Mr. HC's daughter was up in Humboldt planning a memorial for her grandmother. Luckily, I gave her some money because the church is closed and they have to have it in the casino !! They have their own generator in the casino.
They are doing a toast to me tonight too. Never a dull moment. So if you don't hear from me, that's what happened.
We ran to the store for essentials: paper products, wine, apples, nuts, and granola bars and chocolate. Gassed up the car, went to the ATM, and got pills from the pharmacy. Luckily, the weather is warm and nice.
"Millions of people in Northern California could face a days-long power outage after PG&E, the state’s biggest utility, announced it would shut off electricity in an effort to prevent wildfires caused by windblown power lines.
These people – an estimated two million – will be faced with an unprecedented situation: What to do if PG&E shuts off their power for days."

@hicindy2 Good luck weathering the inexcusable power situation... I read about it earlier and there are no words and really, no excuses, for them not having begun to implement better solutions years ago...

@stevieb Crazy. My dentist and doctor sent out emails that they were open. Many schools and businesses had to close with little notice to prepare. The memorial group in Humboldt had dinner in the casino and then had a candlelight ceremony in the parking lot and were singing hymns and some of the tourists joined in. That would have made the grandma smile; she was a minister.
A bar just north of us stayed open with candles and spooky decor.
Sadly, PG & E has been putting off necessary action for years despite high rates.
We're still OK for now. Biggest worry is people with severe health issues that are housebound and without power. Our Neighborhood watch group has a list to check in with them daily.

Just want to blab a minute about how impressed I am with the online Coach Outlet invitation and access. LOTS of newer bags and accessories at a substantial savings. I got an additional 20% for an early bird purchase. Just got a notice that it went out the next day with UPS shipping that was FREE. Plus, they add extra inventory items every day to keep it fresh and a customer can only "save" a bag in their cart for 15 minutes. It is all good.
Got a lightweight Pumpkin tote, but there are lots of leather options too.
Also grabbed a colorblock Flight bag for something on the fun side
This one sold out
Retro Saddlebag added.
Collector bags
Even fun items like Pac Man

@hicindy2 Congrats on your fun new bags!! Great trim color on the first and I love the other bag, colors and all! I unsubscribed to those emails so I am not tempted... I'm glad they are shipping so fast for you, too!! Has your power outage started yet? This is quite a serious situation!!

@EdithEllenLily We are OK but our neighboring town got shut down yesterday. Small restaurants and office buildings were closed but are back today. It is the uncertainty that is nerve jangling.
Seems like:
Oh my heavens, now there is a war on tiny shampoo bottles etc in hotels. There will be fines too. Pay an average of $200 a night and you have to bring your own !!
The new (California of course) law follows similar actions by some of the world's largest hotel chains. Marriott International has said it plans to stop using small plastic bottles in its hotel rooms by December 2020. IHG, which owns Holiday Inn, Kimpton and other brands, said it will eliminate about 200 million small bottles by 2021.
The law comes as California officials are trying to reduce the amount of plastic waste. The state already bans grocery stores from giving customers single-use plastic bags without charging a fee. Last year, former Gov. Jerry Brown passed a law allowing restaurants to hand out plastic straws only upon request.

@hicindy2 Assuming you're still out there...
This is very cute... Would love to have this simple bag in these colors. Unfortunately, I never signed up so don't even know were to look... Google takes me to a supposed online outlet, but I have no idea if it's legitimate... The prices look too low to be believed and so I'm not sure I do...
