handles stay down on mine, when I pick it up by the strap. I wish that strap was a bit longer though

Not that this is any help to anyone, but I don't like when the shoulder strap attaches to the handle hardware.  I prefer a separate ring for the shoulder strap (preferably on the sides of the bag.)

I just bought my first zip zip satchel and noticed the same thing, if I clipped on the toggles with the pull facing me on both sides the handles lay flat when I use the strap, but when I position them toward the bag they don't lay flat, strange but true.
