I would never EVER buy ANYTHING because it had the “right” name, but I WOULD try something out of curiosity, and the other day, I did buy a Coach bag.

It’s ink navy and very well organized.

Not positive whether to keep it or not but at least I’m at “maybe”. It seems a little heavier than some of my other leather bags, but not a deal breaker.

@crazered  Are you able to check out other Coach bags at a Dillard's new you? I have some Coach bags and find them very comfortable. Like another poster said, they are usually lighter than Dooney bags. I'm all for that!

Also, remember you may be able to make an offer if you feel the E-bay seller is too high and ask if you could return it. All he/she is able to do is say, "No."  Good luck!

I have purchased Coach bags from Ebay and never had any issues.  I make sure to look at their rating and feedback what people said.  I generally purchase new ones that I can't find anywhere else.  Should you ever have an issue even if they say final sale Ebay will refund your money should you file a claim.  Ebay always sides with the buyer.

I have never had a Coach purse but saw one I really like on ebay.

It is alittle pricey (IMO) for a used bag. Are they a heavy purse?

I usually buy Michael Kors.

thanks

I have bought a couple of Coach bags at the outlets. I have one that is now probably 7 years old and still looks fantastic. It's a hobo which is I never buy but it his a triple entry in a red patent. When I bought it I actually saw it at Macy's but they did not have the red color. I get a lot of compliments on it. Forgot to mention that it's not heavy at all.

Personally, I don't think there is any comparison between MK and Coach.  I think Coach is so far ahead of MK that MK is not in the race.

I've bought several used Coach bags off ebay. They're the vintage all-leather ones. Very thick leather. They're my most-frequently used bags, and I think most were under $30.

The seller should show a close-up pic of the unique Coach serial number inside the bag. You can Google that to find out if it's authentic. There was one bag I was interested in for which I Googled the serial number and found bags with the same number on sale all over the net, including on Chinese web sites. Obviously the bag was a fake.

@reiki604 I agree. I’d rather pay a higher price at a certified retailer or outlet and be sure I’m getting the real deal. I’ve also been surprised to see that most MK bags are not trimmed in leather...straps/handles are man-made also.
