@chiclet Have you thought about a small size tote bag. Totes have wide openings and usually an outside pocket. I don't own one but is just an idea. Good luck in your search.

I ordered a Patricia Nash Sienna Crossbody from the Macys sale on Saturday.  It hits all the points I am looking for if the measurements are correct and it is not too heavy.   I have a ton of handbags in my closet that are from the pre crossbody days....The crossbodies I have are too big, too small, no outside pocket for phone, too thin, too wide. don't like color......For some reason handbags and shoes are where I get really picky.  On Saturday I paid 119.00 and the next day it was 78.93 about.  I emailed them and they credited me the difference.

Try Duluth Trading.  I've been carrying their tote bag for years and it looks brand new.  The leather in their bags is exceptional.
