Re: Brahmin: Getting a little wild for Fall

I guess they think they need to mix it up to stay relevant...  I trust (and hope) they don't stay relevant by going too far afield from what made them desirable, as some brands have done...

I received Brahmin's fall catalog today. Not for everybody, but how cute is this?!

Of all the bags shown this is one I really like.  I'm not a huge fan Brahmin, fringe or clutches but this is beautiful.

It's interesting, but it sort of puts me in the mind of an old fashioned transistor radio... I don't like the fringe at all.

Looks better in the photo posted than it does on their website.  This style on the website without the fringe is my preference.

Are Brahmin bags heavy?  I've some beautiful bags in the stores, but, they've not called to me enough to pay the price.

To me, a lot of their bags look heavy.

The croco embossed (Melbourne) tends to be a heavier leather. I get around that by buying the smaller bags in that finish, and the larger ones in the more lightweight, smoother leathers.

Re: Brahmin: Getting a little wild for Fall

IMHO... Brahmin is one of the very best made (and gorgeous) handbags made.  I have a couple, one that is lightly silver and white with embossed cabbage roses all over it  (and the matching wallet)... oh my that's a gorgeous handbag!  Love what they've been doing the last few years, very attractive.

Brahmin was a small company on the East Coast (much like Coach and Dooney) that hand made their products with extreme attention to detail and quality.  It was the last holdout for overseas manufacturing.  When Coach and Dooney were over saturating the market (Coach far and away the most saturated).... Brahmin kept chugging along with a high value product that was picking up a large cult interest.

Brahmin has kept their reputation as an extremely well made product!  Woman Happy
