Re: Bag Dames and Divas... It's a New Day...

None of my backpack purses have leather straps and they work great.

Re: Bag Dames and Divas... It's a New Day...

I've done my celebrating for NYE Woman Very Happy

My sister rented The Equalizer, which is a Denzel Washington movie that I wanted to see back in the day and missed in the movie theater.   We had a garden salad and a pizza from her favorite pizza joint.  All of this in the comfort of my family room.

What is everyone doing for New Year's Eve and/or Day?

We took Mom out to a New Year's lunch yesterday at Wildfire...very delicious and she rose to the occasion after being pretty weak the day before. It was so nice to see her dressed up and out there for our lovely luncheon.

I'm always wary of the state of the drivers on NYE so I like to go out for an early, casual dinner...we're going out for BBQ soon.

Hope everyone has a Happy New Year!! Woman Very Happy

P.S. The Black Lacquer Small Sutton from MZ Wallace carries well!

@EdithEllenLily  That Sutton is really nice and festive.

Our Girl's Night Out Group meets on Mondays and we decided to order pizza and salad for tonight plus our usual wine. There are about a dozen of us.

We meet at someone's home here in the complex.  We decided on a "New Year, New You" theme and we are bringing accessories (scarves, handbags, jewelry) that we bought, are in great shape, and we never never use. A twist on "shop your closet".

Same concept as when you go out to dinner, the person's meal sitting next to you always looks better. Woman Wink

@EdithEllenLily Yep, starts out very gentile and polite and then mini skirmishes break out.  Last year we had to draw a number on popular items. I have a couple of Anuschkas to bring and the gals love those.

No real plans for NY Eve or Day... These, along with most other supposed 'holidays', are, for me, more or less 'so what' non-events... The only seasons I get remotely interested in are 'harvest'/fall/Thanksgiving and Christmas... Otherwise, let me know when it's over... The unofficial 'tradition' has more or less become that someone or a few folks come by and we get pizza... Tonight, I'm switching it up just barely in that I'm heating up a lasagna from the freezer, throwing together a salad and will provide a glass or two of Prosecco... It's been yet another rainy, nasty day here, so there are absolutely no plans to go anywhere... Besides, I'm sort of getting used to this nonsensical and apparently endless weather pattern, so ran around a good part of the day, trying to manage to say dry...

UPS Mail Innovations - why, just why?  There must be some kind of savings to have UPS hand off packages to the post office.

I just sent an email to USPS, lol.  I placed an order for my final refill of my Synthroid RX (for the year).  It left Eagle Pharmacy in Florida on 12-20-18.  It hit Michigan and UPS handed it off to my local post office on 12-24-18.

Once UPS hands it off they are hands off, lol.

I'm not out of medication, I never let it get that close.

@Bird mama Retailers keep cutting costs by opting for cut-rate shipping, but I don't notice them passing those savings on to us... Even Amazon is passing a lot of their shipments off to the USPS and it's a pain in the neck...

Incidentally Birdie, I saw a few of your essential oil contraptions at the Maxx today... There were lots of extra bottles of oil if you should run out of your initial supply...
