No new lipstick but I did buy a new blush today. I'm looking for something to replace my go-to Geller blush 'Mauve Mocha Latte', which appears to be kaput. I saw some on ebay, but really, if that's the only place to find it then I might as well start looking for something else.

@stevieb Ha! Woman LOL Woman Wink

Good that you found a new blush.

Speaking of Laura Geller, I have a pretty lipstick called Strawberry Toffee. I see that her lipsticks are on sale on her site; unfortunately Strawberry Toffee is out of stock, but there are other colors that look nice.

Re: Bag Dames... They ALWAYS Lead with the Bag

I haven't tried the new blush yet @EdithEllenLily so it might not work out, but it looks sort of similar to Geller's so we'll see... As for lipstick, I'm good with drugstore lipsticks. Not something I'm going to pay a lot to get home.

@stevieb  When I get attached to a particular shade in a blush, it sends me up one wall and down the other when they stop making the color.

Blush is my least favorite cosmetic to shop for.

There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise

Re: Bag Dames... They ALWAYS Lead with the Bag

@Bird mama I know... And this was THE perfect shade for me. I would often use a little over concealer and skip foundation completely. I got it as part of a Geller kit a few years back and when it started to get low, I found it on Amazon and ordered another. It appears it was one of those that didn't make the big leagues and I'm not pleased about it. Hoping the new blush will take its place, but I have my doubts. Even if the color is similar, it probably won't be exact and it's essentially a 'drugstore' brand (Elf), so I'm not sure it'll work as well as Geller's did. The color was so nice, because it didn't look unnatural, as so many blush shades do. It was barely noticeable, which was what I liked about it.

Re: Bag Dames... They ALWAYS Lead with the Bag

Attention Bag Dames with too many handbags (you know who you are Woman Wink). It seems with the increase in the standard deduction for tax year 2018 that it behooves us to donate today and tomorrow to include these items for the 2017 tax year.

I filled four huge white bags full of coats, clothes, handbags and wallets today. I may work on more tonight to donate them tomorrow, Dec. 31, to include them in the 2017 itemized deductions.

If you have some pricey handbags, wallets, decorative or other items, bag them up and donate them tomorrow!!

@stevieb

Thanks for your post. No, it's not fun, but I am feeling a little better. My birthday of 65 will be an easy pass this year since I am not up to all the bells and whistles as usual. I know I am getting old when I don't mind not going out New Years Eve. I hope you have some nice plans for NYE.

@EdithEllenLily

Thank You for the information. Yes, I have been reading about this and I do go to Mayo Clinic.  It's a scary thing, but not as bad as I was thinking. I hope it doesn't happen again. I have my physical next month so I will ask my doctor at that time.

@Leeny Good heavens! I am so sorry you felt so sick and still are not 100 percent. I had something similar happen to me three or so years ago and mine was linked to not drinking enough water and my migraine headaches. It scared me terribly! I did some research and talked to my doctor about it. You have probably been doing research; the Mayo Clinic site is good and can give you some idea of what is happening. Of course this may not be the exact thing -- it could be more serious -- so it's best to follow up with a doctor appointment next week with your new insurance. Here is some information for you. If you feel really bad before the 1st, go to the doctor sooner!! Continue to take it easy, EEL https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/vertigo/symptoms-causes/syc-20370055

Re: Bag Dames... They ALWAYS Lead with the Bag

Hi @Bird mama

I won't laugh, because we do own a B/P cuff that reads your heartbeat. DH checks his all the time due to doctor's instructions. Plus my dd is an RN and she told my DH to take mine right away. It was sky high. I've never had a reading so high, but it did go down after about an hr. He also took my blood sugar, he's diabetic, I am not, but he said it wanted to check it. It was a bit elevated, but dropped about 2 hrs. later. I tell you this aging this is not my cup of tea. I'd like to get into a different line for 30 yr.olds. ha ha.

Right now, I am feeling better. Not perfect, but then who does?  I don't have an ear ache or any flu symptoms, Thank God. I hope 2018 will be good to all of us.

P.S. Did you ever get any pictures taken of Grayson or any of your other birdie friends to post? DH missed seeing Grayson when I told him you had him for your pet. Smiley Happy
