I had a backpack "way back when"...when safety not an issue. I'm not sure having zippers and items available to steal behind you out of sight is so great an idea now.

Thoughts?

I own a Coach backpack. Bought it back in the '90's. It's got a turn-lock flap which is fine for me but I don't feel it's very secure at all. The leather is great, has good structure, stands up on it's own and looks the same as the day I bought it. But these days I'd rather carry a x-body bag for security plus now I don't carry a bunch of stuff like I used to....no need for another backpack.

Thats the exact reason I bought the Lug Hitch bag, so I could wear it crossbosy.  When I got it I didnt like that it layed directly on my chest, so I bought the extender strap that matched and boom, perfect crossbody.

I like the brand, I like the leather, I don't do backpacks. I've never liked them.

I don't like the idea of using a backpack as a main purse/handbag.  While it may befine for other items, think school/ work, I don't consider it safe.

I have a small MZ Wallace crossbody. It came with a "seatbelt" type adjustable strap, a leather strap (also can be adjusted crossbody) or shoulder and also came with a chain (Chanel look) strap. It's the smallest bag I've ever found where my necessary stuff fits perfectly.

I love it so much, I purchased a second one as back up since i know the styles change each season.

A crossbody for me is comfortable since doesn't sit between my very small bo*bs. I've seen some large chested women who look somewhat uncomfortable with the strap cutting between the breasts.

I haven't worn a backpack in more than 20 years. I actually just threw it over one shoulder when I did use it.

They look too sporty, gymmy looking for me.

I had been wearing leather tote bags for a long time. Just recently started rocking crossbody bags in order to lighten up.

I bought  a few nylon crossbody's from IHKWIP and a few Patricia Nash leather bags.

I thought the same  about the zippers -- plus, I like the crossbody ones more...

Not safe enough. Crossbody is what I use on the daily but a very small one to fit phone, keys and shades.
