is this the ring that broke?
as last resort and having to fix it yourself. i use this ring for various things. they hold up well and look fine. replace the unbroken one so they match. available on Amazon.
if you end up having to fix it yourself..

Its not the ring, wish it was, much easier to do on my own.
its the little gold grommet holding the ring.

i am hoping that they replace it, but how can trust that the new one will be made better.
and like i said, i bought the same one in a different color, so the same thing can happen.
the shame of it is, is that i love the bag. it is perfect for my needs., so really bummed.

hello all,
just to set the record straight on the AK bag.
i was in contact with their C.S. as previously stated. the end result: i pay to send back, they send me a new bag if they have it, no guarantees. if they don't have it, they would give something comparable.
if i fix it myself, they would not reimburse me.
i chose to fix myself. which will be cheaper than me footing the S&H. i would insure it as well so that would add to the cost. and i am not assured the same bag.
i really love it, so i am going that route.. i got an estimate of $7 to fix. now i just have to drop it off.
i will say they were very responsive, so kudos to C.S.!
and FYI: they have a 6 month return/replace window. after that you are out of luck.

hi all,
i finally dropped the purse off at the 'cobbler'.
they are going to replace both grommets - one on each side-, so they match. $10 total.
as he looked at the broken grommet, he said right away that it was not put on correctly, that's why it snapped.
so hopefully, when i use the other color in the Fall (denim), i won't have the same problem.
little disappointed the hardware won't match, but i do love the bag, so it will be fine.
P.S. AK Customer Service was very responsive. their response did not suit my needs for this issue.
