I buy them locally, either from a local grower or a local big box store. They almost always have a good selection.

I've used Colorblends for my bulbs for years -- always satisfied with their high quality bulbs.

I've been pondering the same thing. I used Brecks about 35 years ago, but I'm not sure they are still reliable. We recently had a bed entirely cleaned out due to invasive native plants. I'm starting all over. I'm going to use Brecks unless I see lots of negative reviews. Looking for mostly daffys, because we have lots of squirrels. Also interested in allium and daylilies for later on.

I have used John Sheepers for decades. "Beauty From Bulbs" is the tagline of their catalogue. @PA Mom-mom You are going to find a terrific selecion of Alium and Asiatic-type Lily species. The don't do Daylillies, but there are other good catalogs for those.
Their collection of Tulips and Narcissi species is astonishing.
,
Deer eat all the tulips in my area, so I only buy tulips for forcing, now. I particularly love the few scented tulips that are out there. My long-term favorite is Apricot Beauty which is heavenly in color and in fragrance. I have loved so many tulip combinations, but all it takes is one hungry deer to completely decimate the bed, so I gave up using them outdoors.
.
I do try to compensate with Narcissi sp of all sorts and of a variety of flowering times so that I have lovely color from March through May..
They also have a dynomite selection of Amaryllus and it is a treat to shop for them.
They are a wealth of information about their bulbs and I find them to be an excellent source, year after year.

@goldensrbest Don't know about mail order but I can tell you at one time i had an ocean of crocus on my lawn Rabbits ate them ALL.
The only bulbs they left alone were the Daffodils and the Wood Hyacinth. ( they look like loose bells instead of Bottlebrushes )
Enjoy your hunt for spring color!
