Re: cottage farms sunpatients

@chlema  It does last forever!  I've only had to reorder once in a very long time. Think 2018 might be another year to reorder again. Those two jars last and last. Sould have written the year on the lids; know it been 3-4 years between orders. Well worth the money. Surprised QVC doesn't promote it on air.

I have ordered these for several years and have not been disappointed. They rival those shown on tv. I use a mix of potting soil and peat moss and a little Root Blast to start. I switch fertilizing with Seaweed Extract and Miracle Gro every two weeks.

Re: cottage farms sunpatients

Love the look of sunpatients, but they are way too much trouble....for me.

First time I tried them, I planted them in ground. Gosh what a chore.

I could water 3 times a day and it wasn't enough in our hot TX sun.

Had them planted to where I could see them from my kitchen, and everytime

I looked out, they were wilting, just begging for some water.

2nd time I planted them in pots and kept on shaded porch.

Better,   Easier to handle on the porch IF i'm home, but we travel a lot during the summer

so that didn't work out so great either.  Pretty plants, but no more for me.

Re: cottage farms sunpatients

Good to know! I've been considering them as an option to plant under my hibiscus tree. I bought the Fiesta and I've been trying to figure out what my be good to plant in the pot with it. Dark purple and blue/violet seems to look really good with the Fiesta bloom imo. So I thought possibly Sunpatient, violts/Pansies or maybe Pearl Blue Sedum.
