Hi, yes I live just outside of Seattle in Everett!! 

And I have that same problem too when I rake up the rhody blooms I mess up all the bark. But I just hate picking them up by hand, so I guess I can't win!! I do  a little at a time and that helps. I just don't like that messy look when they are all over the flower bed. Seems there is always something to do everyday!

I hate weeding.  I get lots of weeds and use vinegar with dawn dish detergent.  I never tried it with salt though.  I have to do some spraying today.

@tototwo I never heard of boiling water for weeds...I should try it.  

@Dazlin you reminded me of the garden hoses.  Oh how I hate winding and unwinding them.  That used to be my husband’s job.  I just switched to one of those lightweight hoses in my front yard.  Haven’t used it yet.
