I bought the small butterfly bushes from Cottage Farms that go into pots and they are growing beautifully. My question is, the guy said that when the cold weather sets in, put them in a protected area (garage, shed, etc.), do I water these over the winter while they are indoors and trying to go dormant? Or do I leave them alone, without water all winter. Won't they completely dry out and ruin the plant? Please help. I never understood how to handle this.
