I have the plant kill gene also.  I would give that faux plant a week for that to wilt and look awful.  A friend who always has a great garden, made her own fake tomatoe plants with paper mache tomatoes and vegetables and put then around her real ones to discourage animals from wrecking her garden and said it works.

Just proves, people will buy anything including fake tomato plants.

My husband and have been laughing about this ever since we saw it!

I can see it on a beautiful wrought iron plant stand in the corner of a small deck or patio, of a person that does not want the hassle of waiting for nature, but craves the look. If they are indeed realistic looking faux plants, I think its a good idea. To that person I say, "you are not alone".🤪
