Poisonous toadstools

@pattypeep It's definitely a fungi, not to be confused with a fun guy! 😆  I think it might be a Cup Fungus of the Pezizaceae family.  There's a You Tube video about it.  Here's a pic I found:

Ugh - they are poisonous to pets and children.  I'd be very unhappy, if they came in a bag of soil or compost that I'd bought.  That should be sterilized.  I'd be inclined to notify the manufacturer and/or retailer.

You know I actually had no idea of what they were but I scanned the pic with my cell phone and searched from there! I am glad that you all came back to check here because yes it says that they are POISINous!Be so careful and get rid of them~

@fthuntPoor Auntie!  But poor snake too.  Finds himself a nice warm bag of dirt to curl up in and Somebody Hijacks him!  Uncomfortable for all involved!

I had these in my garden after it was newly mulched. They were a bit of a shock! Fungi take some weird shapes sometimes. Icky.

@VeneziaI am probably going to try and find the mfg name and address on the package and email (or send) them a picture. I agree ~ they are poisonous. I don't have small children, but some people may that use this soil that DO have children.
