I started getting pictures in March, so I could follow the progression of our White Peach Trees. This ornamental variety is my favorite. Now, they've finally went from Beautiful Rosy Blooms, to having nice developing fruit! The smell is so nice, it's used in many expensive perfumes.
Although they won't be ready to eat for a little while longer, I wanted you to see how they grow. This type of peach tree is able to grow well in Southeastern KY.
The white peaches have a juicy, sweet taste and a wonderful fragrance. Plus, these trees can quickly spread! I got these started right from the seeds given to me by a neighbor. They grow super fast !😃🍑
Mid March, flowers produce the fruits.😃
As the fruit grow larger, they turn more white and light pink in color.

@cheriere Your beautiful photos chronicle quite the success story. White peaches are my absolute favorite. I much prefer them to yellow ones. Enjoy a peach for me!

Thank you so much.😊❤️🍑
It's always hard for me to hold back on these plants and trees I want to show progress lol. I'm fighting myself from putting up my apple trees, raspberries, blackberries and grapes lol.😃
I'd send you some in a heartbeat if I could. We always have way more than we'll eat.❤️

Beautiful trees....everything you grow looks so lush!
Many years ago, I tasted my first white peach. A local farmer had them for sale at the weekly market and they were very rare back then. I nearly swooned.
They were almost floral tasting and had a very subtle peachy flavor after the floral notes. I fell in love with them from that moment.
They are still a favorite, but hard to find at the perfect stage of ripe.
Eat a few for me!

@cheriere you are very lucky to live in a climate where you can grow your own peaches!

I'm not certain how far north these white peaches will grow. Since we've had them, there's only been a couple years when a freak frost late in the year caused them not to produce. You may be able to grow them too.😃

White peaches in SC are just as large as the yellow ones. I prefer them to yellow peaches. If they are good and ripe, they are so juicy.
