Just gorgeous!!

I live just northeast of Seattle and going north on I-5 to a town called Mount Vernon, there are acres and acres of tulip fields displaying every color and kind of tulip in all sorts of artistically arranged  beds. This goes on for the entire month of April, depending on the spring weather before --it is a rainbow of color in each direction. Thousands of people visit from all over.  It will close down this coming Sunday for the year. The daffodils are there first and  are still some  blooming as the weather has warmed up nicely. Today will be spectacular up there as we are expecting a 75* day with clear blue skies. Makes me smile---Woman Very Happy

Anyone else read The Botany of Desire?  I did when it came out and still chuckle at the premise.  We are being used 😜

When I was really into planting bulb flowers years ago, I found that each color tulip had its own scent.  The most vivid memory:  orange tulips smelt like whiskey sours !

I stopped when the squirrels took over the bulbs.  You could tell when they had consumed a few...hallucinogenic behaviors: running around like crazy, rubbing the top of their heads on the ground, etc.

We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.

Beautiful.  There is a house near me that has tulips galore in the front and side of their house.  A few years back I saw the brothers from Roberta's taking pictures, it surprised me and I had to do a double take until I saw their truck.  Someone must have alerted them to this beautiful sight.  I often wonder what they did with those photos.  Love driving by this house, the tuplics are in bloom now.
