Well it's official, I have killed my Good Luck Oriental Totem. I have babied it along since last May. Got 3 shoots out of it and was hopeful. I don't think this bodes well for my future😏😏

Just curious, if you care to share, what was your Oriental Totem?

@phoenixbrd  It looks like a round stick- 12 inches long by 8 inches around. You keep it in water for weeks and then into soil. It looked great on QVC from Robertas. It appealed to me because it is "so easy" to grow.

@Rose429 Figured it out...it's a plant!  Had you already transplanted to soil?  If you bury it in the earth...you just transformed its nature, don't think of killing it, but as recycling.  That way your future will not be impaired Smiley Wink

@Rose429    Typical results from Roberta's so don't feel badly.  They specialize in in ungrowable exotic plants.  Don't waste your money there.

Here's a picture of my Totem, I also got it in May. It seems to be doing good but it is a slow grower for sure.45582594-E1B7-4D8B-81BB-A5844794B62D.jpeg

@Leggett28 What's your secret? Is it in a fast draining mix? How much light and how much water? It looks very nice.

@Another new name Sue  I used Scott's indoor soil. It gets a lot of light but not direct light. Keep the soil wet I think it likes water. When I first got it I put it in a jar of water for six weeks then planted. Change the water twice a week.

@Rose429

If you haven't already looked it up, it's a draceana fragrans and could be found at a florist or nursery, if you want to replace it.

Otherwise, @phoenixbrd is spot on!
