Home alone cheese! That's cute! (I get that for my husband every week. I think it has a new name!)

 

Beautiful cedar waxwings! I love their masks. I see them sometimes around the block, but not at our house.

 

My favorite all-time bird is the rose-breasted grosbeak. I used to see them at the double decker all the time. I think they even came here, but they don't hang around.

Cedar wax wings love pyracantha berries. If you want them in your yard, plant a few pyracantha bushes and you'll have tons of cedar wax wings. You won't have any pyracantha berries for long, but you'll get the cedar wax wings. Just be forewarned the pyracantha plants tend to be annoyingly thorny.

@gardenman. I looked pyracantha up, I have one. Not visable from the house but it keeps it berries at least until winter. I have to keep a better eye out.
