it wont be long now until we see Carolyn and Phillip in the garden. Many of us love the gardening shows.

One of my dreams is to visit the Keukunhof Gardens in the Netherlands in the spring. The pictures that I have seen of the masses of tulips are unbelievable.

I believe there's a home and garden day on January 28th.

I've already blocked it off on my calendar. Plan to get very little sleep that day just a few hours while they re run the TSV late at night.

Spring is coming fast. I sent off my seed order the other day. They should be coming soon. Thursday, January 21st is what I call "Turnaround Day." It's when our local average temperature bottoms out and starts to slowly climb until July 21st which is the next "Turnaround Day." On average each day from January 21st on will be just a bit warmer until things peak on July 21st and then they start to slowly decline until next January 21st.

I've got 50 Multibloom Geranium seeds coming and whenever they show up I'll get them started. My dwarf phalanaeopsis has put out three flower spikes this year and the first flower opened yesterday. The Impatiens seeds (all 250 of them) will get started in February. My local Walmart has started putting out seeds also, so I'll pick up some more seeds there.

I always brace myself for February as that's when we get our most snow here, but things have been relatively snow-free again so far this year. I hope that continues. If I poked around the garden a bit in some of the more sheltered areas the daffodils are likely either already poking up or just about to.

Spring is coming! And I can't wait!
