@Kachina624 Do you know where this picture was taken?   I was recently at the Le Chateau Frontenac hotel in Quebec City and that looks an awful lot like the lobby!  Of course I was there in October so they had Fall decor out.   Interesting and beautiful plant!

Chernobyl accident  didn't explode or "blow up" as much as it destroyed vital nuclear protective systems, causing massive radiation leaks. 

No, I was actually referring to the phenomena that after the Chernobyl nuclear plant accident the excessive radiation spill caused many aberrations in growing things like plant life and some odd chromosomal abnormalities resulting in exceptional examples in fish and wildlife reproduction.

That huge flowering plant in the photo looked so extraordinary it made me think it wasn't naturally a result of cultivation, but another Chernobyl "oops"!

Not nearly as clever once it needed explanation. Sorry my reference was too vague.
