My Sun Gold variety of cherry tomatoes are getting ripe. YAY! No more bland store tomatoes In my salads lol. These grow so tall and produce into fall, so we've had to double stake these. I'm 5'8 and the stakes come up nearly chin high.
Once again, I've had to cut the pics down considerably because the file size wasn't accepted.
I've learned to leave some weeds and plant dill around my tomato plants because it keeps them from getting sun blistered. 😃❤️🌞

@cheriere - These are my favorites, and yours look great! We used to grow them too up until a few years ago. DH gave up his garden a few years ago. He got tired of sharing with the animals who visited!

Thank you so much.😃❤️
I love these tomatoes too. You can't tell from the pictures, but these are inside a large fenced area. The critters kept getting into our other garden below the house because the fence wasn't weaved small enough lol.
I keep my cabbages, cherry tomatoes, early girl tomatoes, and herbs in this area. Sometimes, those little rascals can still find a way in though.😃❤️

@cheriere Those tomatoes look so good!! You're such a gifted gardener and your photo skills are top notch! Go Cheriere! Imagine the capreze salad you could make with those tomatoes

@cheriere Those pictures make my mouth water! They taste like candy! YUM! I planted them on my patio for a few years, but they kept splitting from the uneven rainfall. Sun Sugar work better for me now, but I think the Sun Gold taste a bit better. Mine are just starting to ripen here in PA. And, yes; the deer eat tomato plants too. UGH!

I'm picking some to eat this evening.😃❤️
I couldn't wait to finally get a decent tasting tomato since last summer. Since you're in California, I bet you get great tomatoes all year. Lucky you!❤️

Thank you 😃❤️
I've been dying for a good tasting tomato since last summer lol. I always eat some right from the vine. That's how they're the best!
We put these in the upper garden that's fenced in pretty high just so the deer couldn't get in. But the plants get so tall, they're still able to pick from the tops.😃
I figured the deer would be full up from my grapes, apples, and peaches. We have to keep those picked pretty often (all except the apples because they're not ready yet).

@cheriere Your tomatoes look delicious- enjoy them tonight ! Yes indeed, here in California we get great tomatoes year round and tons of seasonal and tropical fruit and vegetables. Tomatoes are really healthy- sometimes I even like to eat one cut up with some salt and pepper and a little drizzle of olive oil.

That sounds great! I think I'll do the olive oil drizzle with salt and pepper tonight!😃
I sure wish we could grow those delicious tropical fruits...my favorites!❤️

@cheriere The drizzle of olive oil makes me feel like a fancy lady when I eat my tomatoes- plus the salt and pepper help season the tomatoes and bring out the flavors. I think you'll really like it! . Tropical fruits are my favorite too. I think that you can grow anything that you put your brilliant and creative mind to, Cheriere!
