Have any of you bought tires bushes from qvc? They some in here that look beautiful. I almost bought multicolor butterfly bush from qvc a couple weeks ago. We have 3 roses bushes now. My wife and I a few years ago had gone to a medium. After my parents had past away. When my wife got her reading her grandmother came through and one thing she mentioned was how beautiful the pink roses were that year and about the lilacs were that year. My wife said that didn't make sense because we don't have lilacs. I said yes we do.there in the next door neibors yard but they grow way over our fence so we have some in the garden.

Do you mean tree bushes?

I bought tree roses years ago from the Q. It was gorgeous. After a few years the trunk of the rose tree became very week. Too weak to stand on it's own, it was planted in the ground. I tried supporting it, but it was of no use. The trunk became too week and broke.

I suggest you go to your local garden center, they'll have varieties which are great for your area. I purchased butterfly bushes too, all from my local garden center.

Many years ago, I bought four climbing roses.   They didn't do well at all.  I do better buying locally.

The only plants that did well that were purchased from

QVC were lily bulbs.  They come up every year and have for years.

My Husband had to dig some out to put in a brick walkway and he just threw the bulbs behinds some bushes.  Well, they still grew and produced flowers even just laying there.

I finally replanted them....they are still going strong.

It's to hot here in Arizona to garden. Everything dies from the heat no matter what you do. Some stuff survives but who wants to go out in 110 degree heat and garden. I know I don't.

I was watching the Carolyn show with Rick.  Some of her items including a gorgeous rose bush looked very enticing but I refuse to spend money and plant anything that will be eaten up by deer.

I think my best bet is to go to a local nursery and talk to the people there to see what is deer resistant.  I have had too many beautiful plants totally eaten up.

It is very disappointing to watch the garden shows and then have such bad luck growing anything from the 2 shopping channels.

I gave up a couple of years ago when the dinner sized hibiscus plants didn't do well at all. I tried 5 different ones. I only ever had 2 blooms on each plant. Every year they looked the same and they are dead now.

You read the reviews and most of them are 1-2 stars on every single plant they offer.

How do they stay in business selling plants!
