I've purchased three different roll out mats that are filled with flower seeds (butterfly mix, wildflower mix and zinnas). I only want to use half of each roll. Do you think if I store them in a dry place, I could use the other half next season? It seems to me that older seeds should still germinate.

You have nothing to lose to give it a try. At plant centers you see the little seed packets hanging on the spin-wheel. Those go in storage for winter and brought out in the spring. Your mat & those packets aren't made to order........I bought 2 last month and the seeds have sprouted. As you said - a cool dark DRY place would be best...I think.

I'd seal the unused half in a ziploc bag then store them in your fridge. That's what I do with my leftover seeds.
