Question for Slogger wearers.

I got caught up in the spring show yesterday and ordered a pair of those cute sloggers. I mostly wear Birkenstocks and have a pair of those for the garden, but they are looking pretty worn. Are these supportive in the arch and heel area or just a flat footbed? Comfortable? They have a 5 star rating, so just wondering. I am thinking of cancelling until I hear from wearers of these shoes.

Re: Question for Slogger wearers.

I don't know about all the styles, but mine have no support at all. This is good for me, though, because I actually have the opposite problem that most people have with their feet (my feet/ankles turn outward rather than inward). You could probably use an insert in them if you need one, but the backs on my sloggers are sort of low, so anything that might raise the heel up further might make them uncomfortable to walk in.

I don't think these shoes are really designed to be worn a long time for walking/exercise or a day shopping. They are excellent for puttering around in the yard and getting filthy in the garden. Or walking the dog in the rain. You can wash them off with the hose and they are like new. If you really need support for those things, sloggers might not work.

Thank you for your input. That was what I was afraid of. I think I better cancel and just wear my Birki garden shoes. They still feel good, but look so bad. Pretty is not always good.

Re: Question for Slogger wearers.

The sloggers have a removable insole that you could replace with an orthotic. The great thing about the sloggers is that they can be hosed off. I bought mine locally and love them. I have dogs that of course require I get out and clean-up my backyard pretty much daily, regardless of the conditions, and am frequently sinking in muddy yard. Like the full shoe so much more than the mule type too, for the same reason as the mules were too easy to walk out of when they got stuck in the mud.

Re: Question for Slogger wearers.

I ordered mine yesterday from somewhere else and they already shipped. I was wondering how they fit, true to size or do they run small? I had to go up a whole size and I am hoping they won't be too big. Anyone?

I've had mine a while, but I believe I went with my usual size, but the size is worn off, so I can't be 100% sure! Also, I do wear mine with those below the ankle sport sock to absorb sweat.

Re: Question for Slogger wearers.

I find mine to be pretty comfy. I actually wear them all over the place, especially when it's wet out and I'm running errands. I do find I have to wear them with socks or my feet get sticky (think summer). And mine squeak. They always have, but I wear them anyway.
