Problem with Roberta's and Cottage Farms.

Yes, I have a problem with both of them. Everything I have planted and is in its third year is huge! I really do have Hibiscus from Cottage farms as big as dinner plates. My Roberta's ever blooming daylillies and lilac bushes are getting enormous. The bushes will have to be relocated this fall. And I do not have a green thumb. Guess it is true about the first year they sleep, next they creep and next they leap!{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Congratulations. It is nice to hit that 3rd year and see everything looking so great.

Glad to hear that at least someone had luck with their plants.

What's the problem? Usually, people complain that the plants die, or never bloom.

No problem really....I was just trying to grab some attention with the opening and get some responses about other successes from posters. My pitiful attempt at being funny...hence the smiley face.

I was just surprised because as I said, I hear so many complaints. I bought a five Begonia collection for the first time, kept misplacing the bag, and finally found them and after months in that bag, planted them and they are all leafing out. I thought for sure that I had killed them by not planting them right away. I am glad you have great success with your plants.

I just realized that I said Dahlias and I meant Begonias. I do love Dahlias though, used to grow many. They make wonderful cut flowers.

Re: Problem with Roberta's and Cottage Farms.

I've planted roses and hydrangea from Cottage Farms this year. They are doing very well. Plants were my business for 25 years and I'm very satisfied with the quality and selection. "Passionate Kisses" rose is blooming and it is lovely. No sign of disease. The hydrangeas are a set of 3: "Snow Storm", "Pistachio", and "Red Sensation". I look forward to blooms next year. None of these was available at my local garden center. I prefer a small starter size, which is also hard to find here.
