We had quite a windy rainy weekend.  I went out to secure a trellis and found Mr. Porcupine in the Honeycrisp Apple tree.

The wind took down most of the remaining apples so that is it for another year.  LM

That’s a sight to see. I didn’t know porcupines climbed  trees. Did he come down yet?

Thanks for sharing. My yard is boring. 😺

Wasn't it kind of him to assist with the apple picking duties!  Keep the pups inside for a bit!

He looks well feed. Guess since he has good hunting skills, that he will climb up a tree to get more food. It does amaze me how resourceful animals can be.

With all the wind and rain we had, guess he was hanging on, careful with your dog.

That could have turned out badly for you if he had been frightened.I never would have thought to look for a porcupine in a tree....heads up!

Thanks for the picture.Have you seen porcupines in your yard in the past?

Since it’s in a tree, it’s probably best not to disturb it right?
