Please advise about transfering plants

Any advice on how to transfer my seedlings into bigger pots with minimal damage.

The other day I was bragging on myself that I hadn't killed Phil yet and I think I subsequently did when I tried to replant him in a larger pot with fresh soil. He is currently in my kitchen looking good, but I do have my fingers crossed.

Thanks for any instructions.

PS. I cannot believe how my basil, oregano, and Italian parsley look!!!
