Depends on the maturity of the bulbs.

Re: Planting Lily bulbs in early spring..,

Most garden experts say no, because a "chilling" period is required for many bulbs.  You may get greenery but not flowers.

One thing I try to do is buy blooming flower (bulbs) and then plant them in my garden in the Spring.  They then come up the next year!

My lilies usually bloom a little later in the Spring.

So far I have already had my snowbells bloom and already disappear (they are always first).

Right now I have crocuses and daffodils appearing.

My hyacinths, peonies, and tulips are just peeking out a tiny bit.

Commercially purchased lily bulbs typically bloom the first year they're planted. The big issue with lily bulbs is keeping them safe as pretty much every critter likes to eat the bulbs.

I planted lilies in the early spring and always got magnificent blooms around July/Aug---I planted them in big pots on my back deck--never had any critters eat them. Then got the same the next years too.

They should.  I live in PA and have found that Lily bulbs do very well. They don't need to be planted in the fall like tulips and daffodils.

We added a new side walk from my front door to the driveway a few years ago.  My husband had to dig out a lot of Lily bulbs that were in the way.

He just threw them behind our foundation plants.  The next spring, they were again blooming and weren't even buried in the soil.

They are very hardy and bloom well in PA.  Best of luck and enjoy.
