I bought this earlier this year never expecting it to survive the summer. I’m pleased to say that it’s done quite well but I don’t remember what it is ☺️. I believe it had small purple/blue flowers. Thoughts?

Re: Plant identification please

Looks like it could be a sedum plant. They do have small purple flowers.

@kitty60 Thanks but it’s not a succulent. That’s why I was surprised that it’s been surviving the heat so well.

Re: Plant identification please

I have some that come back every year and grow well in the summer heat.  Hope you find out what yours is.

I have one that looks like it.  I think I remember that it is a type of kalanchoe.

Mine got lanky but never bloomed.

@Zhills Thanks for your response but I believe a kalanchoe is a succulent. This is definitely not a succulent(which is what I have most of though).

Re: Plant identification please

I believe this is the same planter I rec'd this spring as a gift.  thankfully theres a id tag in it.  Its called "pistashio pops."   So its ipomea Marguerite   or Helichrysum Licorice Silver. Google those 2 names and see if its there.

@aoldgirl Thanks for your response. I looked those up and the Helichrysum comes closest but not quite it.  I have it planted in a vintage enamelware pitcher, just purchased it in a plastic pot. I appreciate everyone’s input!

Do the leaves have a scent; from my view, it kinda looks like oregano...

It does, doesn’t it? My oregano died awhile ago 🙁. It isn’t an herb but it certainly looks like it could be. I think it’s a perennial, but again so many things don’t make it through the summer here I just didn’t pay attention. That’ll teach me lol.
